Grid Delivery Summit 2027 opens call for presentations
The Grid Delivery Summit has opened a call for presentations for its inaugural event, taking place at Messe Berlin on April 27 and 28, 2027, alongside CWIEME (Coil Winding, Insulation and Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition).
The two-day summit brings together the organisations that manufacture, supply, build and operate the infrastructure required to deliver the future grid, creating a dedicated forum for moving the conversation from ambition to execution. The aim is to connect the value chain from raw materials and components through to transformers, systems and network deployment, with a focus on turning grid plans into infrastructure.
As investment in power networks accelerates, its focus will be on one of the industry's most important questions: how can ambitious plans for the grid be translated into infrastructure at the speed and scale electrification demands?
Industry professionals are now invited to submit presentation summaries and case studies that offer practical insight into solving this challenge. Submissions are open to experts from across the grid delivery ecosystem, including utilities, TSOs and DSOs, transformer and grid equipment OEMs, EPCs, manufacturers, suppliers, materials companies, technology providers, policymakers and regulators.
Topics will span grid investment and project delivery, manufacturing capacity and supply chain resilience, critical materials and supply security, digitalisation and AI, grid reliability and resilience, workforce development and collaboration between utilities, OEMs and suppliers. The programme will also examine Europe's longer-term grid delivery outlook and the infrastructure, investment and industry action required to meet future demand.
“The scale of investment planned for Europe's electricity networks is enormous, but investment alone doesn't build infrastructure,” said Melissa Magestro, portfolio director at CWIEME. “Delivery depends on the organisations across the supply chain solving very practical challenges together, whether that's transformer manufacturing capacity, access to critical materials, workforce shortages or coordination between utilities and suppliers.
“We want the Grid Delivery Summit programme to reflect the experience of the people tackling those challenges every day,” added Magestro. “If you've delivered a project, developed a new approach or learned something that could help the wider industry move faster, we want to hear from you.”
The Grid Delivery Summit is particularly seeking real-world case studies, applied research and practical examples with lessons that can be shared across the industry. Proposals will be assessed on their relevance, originality, practical value and contribution to the grid delivery conversation, with educational content prioritised over product or sales presentations.
Each selected presentation will be allocated 30 minutes, including audience questions. Applicants should submit a working title, relevant subject area and an abstract of up to 1,000 words outlining the proposed presentation. The deadline for submissions is October 16, 2026.
